PDF.ABLE GUIDE

Check quality and order when converting PDFs and images

Turning a PDF page into an image changes both sharpness and file size. When you make a PDF from images, review their order and page fit before saving.

Choose the output for the job

JPG is usually the practical choice for screen sharing and smaller attachments. PNG is better for diagrams, small text, sharp edges, or images that need transparency.

Higher resolution can make small text clearer, but it also increases file size and processing time. Convert one or two pages first and inspect them where you plan to use them.

Checklist

  • JPG or PNG
  • Small-text clarity
  • Acceptable file size
  • All pages or only selected pages

02

Each PDF page becomes a separate image

A multi-page PDF produces one image per page. The output names include page numbers, but check that another app still sorts those names in the right order.

Remove or cover private details before conversion. Once a page becomes an image, its text cannot be selected or searched like text in a PDF.

Checklist

  • File-name order
  • Private details that should be removed
  • Whether you also need the searchable PDF source

03

Image selection order becomes PDF page order

When you combine receipts or scanned photos, PDF pages follow the order shown in the workspace. Capture time and file-name sorting can differ, so review the sequence from first to last.

Mixed image sizes can produce awkward margins or orientation. Check portrait and landscape pages in the result preview and make sure no edge is cropped.

Checklist

  • First-to-last order
  • Portrait and landscape orientation
  • Cropped edges
  • Margins and page size

04

Conversion is not OCR

PDF.ABLE does not turn words in a photo or scan into searchable text. An image remains an image when it is placed into a PDF.

Selected PDFs and images are processed in this browser and are not sent to a server. Results are not auto-saved, so review and save them yourself, then keep the source for as long as you need it.

Checklist

  • Whether text search is required
  • Whether you saved the result
  • Whether the source is backed up
